Understanding Aura Rating and the leaderboards
Understand Aura XP, Aura Rating, Verified Battle eligibility and how competitive results update the leaderboards.
Aura XP and Aura Rating measure different things
Aura XP represents progression linked to your activity in the game. Aura Rating compares eligible competitive performance. A casual battle can therefore contribute to your activity without changing your Rating. The vote count on one battle, your total XP and your position on a leaderboard are three different pieces of information.
This separation lets you start without an account and share a battle for fun while keeping additional rules for competition. Claiming your account protects the existing anonymous profile: your progress is not moved to a new user ID. Playing many battles does not mean that every one of them produces a competitive Rating event.
Why only Verified Battles count
A Verified Battle must have two distinct claimed accounts, the required consent, approved photos and the other server eligibility checks. Verification also considers qualifying votes and reports. Here, 'Verified' describes eligibility and anti-abuse checks; it does not mean that participants have presented a government identity document.
Visible votes and qualifying votes are not necessarily the same. The server applies eligibility rules before calculating a Rating change. A web vote contributes to a battle's result, but whether it qualifies competitively depends on server configuration and rules. Buying Aura+ does not turn ineligible votes into competitive votes or remove the verification checks.
Read a change and find your rank
A competitive change depends on factors including the match outcome, the opponents' ratings and the votes retained by the calculation. Do not interpret a winning percentage as a fixed number of points. The calculation and its history are kept on the server so that an individual device cannot independently rewrite competitive progress.
The leaderboard uses Aura Rating for eligible public, active profiles. A Rating change and a new displayed rank may not arrive at exactly the same instant: positions are refreshed regularly on the server. Compare World and Country views to see your place in two populations. Aura+ adds analysis without giving an advantage in the ranking calculation.
